Sujet: MILSAT at 256.950 MHz Sam 7 Aoû - 8:28
bonjour
vous fais suivre une info provenant de UXDF (merci à EB4APL)
Il y a aussi des transmissions sur le waterfall
While I know this list is mainly devoted to HF, I found a weird signal on a MILSAT at 256.950 MHz.
These MILSATs are known for being pirated almost continuously, but the signal that I see is a message using a mode commonly used by Hams for sending texts as ID's in SSTV transmissions, these ID's are shown on the waterfall display.
What I'm seeing is a text in Russian that repeats continuously ending with PROSPECT /36/8 in Cyrillic characters. Another curious thing that each letter of this transmission blocks the music (a well known funeral march) that other pirate is sending in the same channel. The blocking occurs because of the satellite's AGC.
